CROCHET TIP:
Start every sc row with 1 ch (replaces the 1st sc).
Start every tr row with 3 ch (replaces the 1st tr).
Beg every dtr row with 4 ch (replaces 1st dtr).

INCREASES:
To increase 1 tr, work 2 tr in/around the same stitch.

DECREASES:
Work 1 dc around the next space but do not make the last pull through, work the next dc around the next space (do not work 5 ch between the dc) and, on the last pull through, crochet the 3 loops on the hook.

COAT:
Crochet a chain of 207-229-252-275 ch on crochet hook size 5 mm in Paris. Work 1 tr in the 4th ch from hook (= 2 tr) - SEE CROCHET TIP -, 1 tr in each of the next 3-5-3-1 ch, *skip 1 ch, 1 tr in each one of the next 4 ch*, repeat from *-* the entire round = 165-183-201-219 tr.

Then work the PENULTIMATE ROUND from A.1 to A.5 - see arrow in the diagram - as follows: A.1 over the first 4 tr, A.2 over the next 6 tr, repeat A.3 until 11 tr remain ( = 24-27-30-33 times in total in width), work A.4 over the next 7 tr and finish with A.5. Crochet the last row from A.1 to A.5. DO NOT FORGET TO MAINTAIN THE SAME VOLTAGE AS INDICATED FOR THE SAMPLE! Then repeat A.1 to A.5 in height. NOTE: Do not crochet the first row in the diagram (with the star) - it only shows how to crochet the next row over the stitches from the previous row.
When total height measures 37-38-41-42 cm - adjust the height so that the next row is with tr and from the right side (cut the thread if the next row is from the wrong side), divide the piece.

RIGHT FRONT:
Continue like this from RS: A.1 and A.2 as before, repeat A.3 over the next 36-42-48-54 tr (= 6-7-8-9 times in total in width), then work A.4, then A.5, and turn. Continue in this way in these stitches until the piece measures 18-19-20-21 cm from the separation of the piece - adjust the height so that the next row is in tr and from the wrong side (cut the thread if the next row is from the right side).

BACK:
Work as follows from the right side: A.1, A.2, repeat A.3 over the next 30-36-42-48 tr (= 5-6-7-8 times in total in width), A.4 , finish with A.5. Continue like this in these stitches until the piece measures 18-19-20-21 cm - adjust the height to that on the right front.

LEFT FRONT:
Crochet as done for right front piece.

FRONTS & BACK:
Then work all the pieces together from the wrong side (i.e. from the left front, over the back and right front) as before, i.e. as follows from the wrong side: A.5 and A.4 as before, 24-27 -30-33 times A.3 in total in width, A.2, and finish with A.1. Continue in this way.

When piece measures 63-67-73-77 cm - adjust so that the next round is in tr -, inc 4-2-0-14 tr evenly spaced = 169-185-201-233 tr . Then work the next round as follows: A.6 in the first 4 tr, repeat A.7 until 5 tr remain (= 10-11-12-14 times in width), A.8 over the next tr, finish with A.9 in the last 4 pa. When A.6 to A.9 have been worked 1 time in height, the piece measures approx. 71-75-81-85 cm in total. Cast off.

SLEEVES:
The sleeves are worked in the round, from top to bottom.
Crochet a chain of 78-78-83-83 ch on crochet hook size 5 mm in Paris.
ROUND 1: 1 dc in the 13th ch from hook, * 5 ch, skip 4 ch, 1 dc in next ch *, repeat from *-* over ch, 1 dc around the first 3 ch = 14-14-15-15 hoops.

Continue working 5 ch and 1 dc around each space. When the piece measures 4 cm, decrease 1 space before the marker .

Repeat these decreases alternately on each side of the marker 4 more times every 4 cm = 9-9-10-10 ch space.
When the total height measures 26 cm, finish the round with 1 sl st in the last ch mid under the sleeve. Continue in the round as follows:
ROUND 1: 3 ch, *4 tr around the first/next ch-space, 3 tr around the next ch-space*, repeat from *-* the entire round, finish with 1 sl st in the 3rd ch of beg of round = 32-32-35-35 tr. Cast off.
